The Topaz XL range has monitors in several sizes: 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 28 inches. All monitors have a non-reflective screen. With the 28” monitor, a newspaper column can now be seen in its full width with a magnification of 12x. Depending on the width of the column it will be approximately 54 cm wide on the screen.

Magnification

In the minimum magnification the Topaz XL shows a generous 13.9 cm of a newspaper. On a big 28” monitor this is 4.3 times magnified, on a 17” monitor it is 2.4 times.

The bigger monitors are ideal for people that need really high magnification. The 28” goes all the way up to 104x. For people that don’t really need the big magnification it means they can decrease the magnification, so more text will show up on the monitor. More text means less moving of the text which means less fatigue at the end of the day.

PC connectivity

The Topaz XL can also be used with the PC connection kit. The PC keyboard can be in front of the monitor and the user can see both PC and Topaz XL reading images on the monitor, making it highly effective to work.
