In addition to the Bilingual features and Sense Dictionary for language practice and learning, Braille Sense U2 QWERTY offers fraction calculation and Nemeth Braille code entry into a fully functional scientific calculator. When an optional external LCD display is connected it allows sighted teachers and parents to view a student's progress while the student uses Braille Sense U2 QWERTY.

As a Deaf-blind communicator the (optional) LCD display facilitates easy and natural communication with and for the deaf-blind. Now with a vibrate motor, a deaf-blind user can be alerted by vibration and audio to messages, errors in input or navigation. (Sendero maps and Sense Navigation optional)
